Brunning will play a different track from the CD every day from Monday, July 23, through Friday, July 27. Classic FM Drive broadcasts for three hours starting at 5 p.m. local time (London), which is Greenwich mean time. If you’re not already listening, tune in around 6:15 p.m. each day for the selected Tiomkin track.

Upon hearing the news of this week’s broadcast, Olivia Tiomkin Douglas remarked that everyone involved in the making of the LSO Live CD is grateful and excited that Brunning will be featuring the CD on Classic FM. That Tiomkin’s music will be played alongside the “best classical music,” as Brunning’s program is branded, is a tribute to the enduring legacy of the Hollywood film composer.
On Sunday, July 15, Brunning launched the radio premiere of the Tiomkin CD during his weekly program, “The Official Classic FM Chart.”
The CD is scheduled for release in the UK on July 30. For those too eager to wait, the CD is now available as an exclusive pre-release on iTunes UK, according to LSO Live Marketing Coordinator Florence Eves.
